B.A. in Molecular & Cellular Biology, Women’s & Gender Studies (Vanderbilt University) 

Madison joined the Mobley lab in the spring of 2019 to pursue her doctoral work. In her undergraduate studies, she investigated metabolic differences between pathogenic and non-pathogenic strains of Escherichia coli in the lab of    Dr. Maria Hadjifrangiskou. In the Mobley lab, she studies the regulation of virulence genes in Proteus mirabilis. Additionally, she has continued her rotation project characterizing putative RTX toxins in P. mirabilis in collaboration with the Armbruster Lab at the University of Buffalo.
